Top Ten Rappers Of All Time

Rap music has been around for a while and it is not going anywhere. Now when a person does a top ten list of rappers there is plenty of room for debate. Of course on my list there is always room for debate and this time will be no different. Let’s see who made my list and who did not.

Number 10: Ice Cube is considered one of the premier rappers of all time. Starting out as a member of N.W.A. and then heading out on his own, his hit “Amerikka’s Most Wanted” set his standard and he never backed down.

Number 9: How can you have a list of the top ten rappers of all time and not include the DOGG, Snoop Dogg. Snoop really became big time under the mentoring of his buddy Dr. Dre.

Number 8: Going old school here, but he is one of the best of all time. LL Cool J has been around for a minute and he has such great classics like “Mama Said Knock You Out” and he has been knocking out everything including rap music, movies and television.

Number 7: I know I will get heat for this one, but where would rap be without him? He was the pioneer and he helped make rap music popular. Kurtis Blow is considered the Godfather of old school rap, as well he should be. If you don’t agree that is “The Breaks”

Number 6: Rakim…Yes he gained notoriety when he was had the mega hit “Paid in Full” all old school rap fans remember Erik B and Rakim. Nuff said.

Number 5: Okay yet again I am choosing to have people shake their heads. Old School blowing it up on this list but we are bringing in one of the best rap duos of all time. RUN DMC and songs like “Walk This Way” and so on. One cannot be real and leave off them.

Okay here we go, and I am sure you can fill in the next four but let’s see what order they come in.

Number 4: Eminem is one of the very best. His flow and style is very distintictive and he blew onto the scene under Dr. Dre and never looked back. Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

Number 3: The Notorious B.I. G. or Biggie as he is simply known as. He was the king of the east coast rap swing. He would have possibly been number 1 if not for his early death, but please believe he is truly a legend in the game.

Number 2: The new king of the rap game on the east coast. Jay-Z has been in the game for a minute. He has a very different swag and style, and no-one sounds like Jay-Z. Nuff said.

Can you guess who number 1 is? Well the man who flowed like no other. Tupac is the former king of the west coast. Tupac also died too young and some say him and Biggie were killed by the same people, either way Tupac was the man.
