9. Spirited Away – Released 2001
Moving is always frightening, but even more so in this Disney story. A young girl and her family stop off in a strange town while on the move to a new city. Strange spirits and ghosts become apparent as the story plays out.
8. Tangled – Released 2010
The modern day tale of Rapunzel, the heroine of this story has wonderfully long hair and is trapped in a tower. Follow her escapades as she heads off to adventures with her prince. All the while wishing for a normal life outside with everyone else.
7. Toy Story – Released 1995
This is the original Toy Story movie that sparked the very popular trilogy. Woody is a toy cowboy that comes to life when no humans are around. Buzz Lightyear is introduced to the toy collection, threatening Woody’s place as the most popular toy. As Woody tries to get rid of Buzz, he quickly learns a lesson about friends.
6. Finding Nemo – Released 2003
There are few who have not fallen in love with Nemo, the colorful clown fish. Separated from his father and trapped in a dental office aquarium, Nemo and his dad must find a way to be together again once more. Delightful characters try to help the reuniting to take place, despite odds being against them.

5. The Little Mermaid – Released 1989
The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, the mermaid. She no longer wishes to live in the sea with her father, instead wanting to spend her time as a human living on land. After striking a bargain with a sea hag witch, Ariel quickly learns that it is not always good to get what you wished for.
4. The Nightmare Before Christmas – Released 1993
A different type of animation film to the Disney norm, this movie was produced by Tim Burton. It tells the story of Jack Skellington who is the king of Halloweentown. When he comes across Christmastown, the decides to try and get his own residents to take part in these holiday festivities. But the results are not what he expected.
3. Aladdin – Released 1992
Shrouded in the exoticness of Arabia and flying carpets, Aladdin is a person well known in the local markets. When he and his monkey accidentally meet the princess, they inadvertently become part of a plot to overthrow the king. Hoping to stop the evil Jafar, and coming into contact with a genie in a lamp, this movie provides mystical magic throughout.
2. Beauty And The Beast – Released 1991
Everybody loves a good old fashioned love story, particularly when the underdog triumphs. Beauty and the Beast tells the story of the beautiful Belle and her relationship with the Beast. The ugly beast is really a prince under the spell of an enchantress after he turned away a person in need. Only when he realises the true value of humanity, can he be released from the spell. This movie was so hugely popular, it was also turned into a Broadway play.
1. The Lion King – Released 1994
This stunning story of love and family based in the African Sahara pays homage to loyalty, trust and friendship. When Simba is born into a regal family where his father is king of the pride, he becomes too confident too early. Mistakenly thinking he is responsible for his father’s untimely death, Simba then turns his back on his family to live out his days alone. However, when he finds out his family is truly in need, will he return to take his rightful place on the throne? You must see this movie to find out.
